Ever Accountable vs Covenant Eyes: Price and Coverage
A short comparison of current prices, family coverage and the iPhone detail that changes the choice.
Before choosing Ever Accountable vs Covenant Eyes, decide what you want another person to see.
Both sell accountability. The price, family allowance and what gets captured on your particular phone are where the decision gets useful.
Ever Accountable costs less for one reporting user. Covenant Eyes covers up to ten family users and includes Christian recovery resources.
For an iPhone, compare the monitoring setup before choosing either. Neither product's desktop coverage tells you what happens inside every phone app.
Straight with you: this compares official documentation, not a hands-on detection test.
My bias, stated plainly: I built X Reset, a competing accountability tool.
Ever Accountable vs Covenant Eyes: price and fit
These are advertised US-dollar prices checked October 20, 2026. Confirm the plan and renewal terms at checkout.
- Ever Accountable: $14.99 monthly or $129 yearly; one reporting user, unlimited devices and accountability partners; a 14-day free trial.1
- Covenant Eyes: $18 monthly or $198 yearly; unlimited devices for up to ten family users; a seven-day free trial.2
For one person, the annual difference is $69. For several family members, compare the household total instead of multiplying a single-user headline.
Covenant Eyes now calls its offering Victory by Covenant Eyes. Victory handles the recovery experience; Victory Shield supplies device monitoring and filtering.
Its Christian framing is explicit. If that matters to you, review the lessons as well as the software.

The iPhone difference matters most
Ever Accountable's iPhone documentation describes two routes: a Safari extension, and Screen Broadcasting for activity inside other apps.3
Cross-app monitoring needs broadcasting to be active. Its app-locking choices affect which apps can open and which are monitored.
Its setup guide also says broadcasting must be restarted after the phone restarts. That is a daily-use detail worth testing during the trial.4
Covenant Eyes captures screens in Safari on iPhone and monitors website connections across the device. That is not a screenshot of every app.5
On Mac and Windows, Covenant Eyes documents screen monitoring across apps and browsers. On Android, it describes coverage for most apps and browsers.
So “Ever Accountable uses text; Covenant Eyes uses screenshots” is too simple. Ever Accountable also documents screenshots. Compare the current setup for your device.
Check the report before you commit
Use ordinary browsing during the trial. Then review the resulting report with the person who will actually receive it.
- Check which browsers and apps produced activity.
- Check what the report reveals about unrelated personal information.
- Confirm what happens after a restart or monitoring interruption.
- Agree when your partner will review reports and contact you.
Do not assume sensitive activity is invisible. Ever Accountable's pricing FAQ specifically warns that banking websites may have information recorded.1
Agree on consent and boundaries first. An accountability report should support a conversation, not become a demand for unlimited surveillance.
Which would I choose?
For one person watching the budget, I would try Ever Accountable first and check whether its monitoring routine fits everyday use.
For a family wanting Christian resources alongside accountability, Covenant Eyes deserves the first trial. Its family allowance changes the price comparison.
If you have nobody willing to review reports, resolve that first. Our accountability-partner guide explains how to make the arrangement useful.
Prefer accountability without sending reports to someone else? Read the private-accountability guide, including how X Reset's self-chosen financial stakes differ.
The better choice is the one whose limits you understand and whose reports someone will use. A longer feature list cannot do that part.
