1. Overview

X Reset is a free, nonprofit (.org) platform designed to help men quit pornography through a 30-day reset protocol. The protocol combines DNS-based visit tracking, optional financial self-binding, progress tracking, and identity-building tools to support lasting behavioral change.

2. Account and Data

To use X Reset, you may create an account using your email and password or by signing in with Google. We collect only the information necessary to create your account, communicate updates, and display your progress.

Our DNS Guardian feature tracks visits to adult websites. These logs are used only to detect relapses and update your reset progress. We do not block any websites — we count visits. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

3. Financial Self-Binding Pact

X Reset offers an optional financial self-binding pact. If you choose to enable it, you select a daily pact charge ($1 to $5) that is charged for every day you relapse. This pact is entirely voluntary — you can enable, adjust, or cancel it at any time from your settings.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. All pact charges collected help fund our DNS infrastructure and keep X Reset free for everyone.

X Reset's core service is free. No subscriptions. No paywalls. No credit card is required unless you opt into the financial pact.

Your payment method is added only when you enable the pact and set your daily amount. It is charged solely on days a relapse is detected — never on a recurring schedule, and never on clean days.

Pact charges are final. The financial stakes are the entire point of the pact, so charges are not refundable as a matter of course. However, if you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we will review it in good faith.

4. Use of the Service

By using X Reset, you agree to:

• Use the service only for personal self-improvement and accountability purposes.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the system.
• Provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. Privacy and Security

We take privacy seriously. Your DNS logs are securely stored and used only to operate the service. For full details on how your data is handled, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

X Reset is a self-improvement tool and not a medical or therapeutic program. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from your use of or reliance on the platform. Use the service at your own discretion and responsibility.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at xreset.org. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
